雷蒙娜·杨 Ramona Young

Ramona Young is an American actress, scriptwriter, director, cinematographer and producer who is originally Chinese from Hong Kong. A very precocious and highly talented person, Ramona started acting at the age of 12. She also wrote, produced, directed and starred in her own work at 17 years of age. Also, in less than ten years of her acting career, Ramona already has a long line of no less than 25 film and TV roles to her credit.

The multi-talented Chinese-American actress is currently starring as Mona Wu (previously named Alaska Yu) in the CW Arrowverse superhero TV series Legends Of Tomorrow. Here are all the facts you need to know about her.

She was born Ramona Abish Young in Hong Kong on May 23, 1998. Both of her parents are native Hongkongers who reside in Hong Kong and the United States. Although we do not know the names of her parents, Ramona said her father is a psychologist and a professor while her mother works in the Navy.

Ramona Young’s early education took place on and off in both Hong Kong and the United States. However, there are no details of where she attended Elementary and High School. Reliable sources have it that she went to California State University in Los Angeles from where she graduated with a degree in Theater, Art, and Dance. She is also reported to have studied acting at Playhouse West Acting School in Los Angeles.

The first movie role ever credited to Ramona Young is as ‘Eve/Ghost’ in a 2010 short film named Specter. She was only twelve at the time. Again, while she was seventeen in 2015, she wrote, directed, produced and starred in a short film named Reflections. That same year, she directed, helped to produce, as well as starred in another short film titled Live Exit Here.
